Layley Review from December 2005 TABOO
Photographer John Donegan has a fetish, and her name, like that of this slender but tasty volume, is Layley.
A lovely, natural blonde with the kind of versatile appeal that works equally well in simple, nude candids, elaborate glam shots and dungeon bondage scenarios, Layley, previously a commercial model with no background in sex photography, projects innocence and sophistication with equal aplomb.

Almost unnaturally smooth and doll-like, she adapts herself to Donegan's varied scenarios, whether involving clothespins on the nipples or a sandy frolic on the beach, while retaining an element of sexual mystery that the photographer captures with a subtle touch. Usually bare right down to her perfectly symmetrical intimate anatomy, Layley always seems to be hiding as much as she shows.

What does come through as honest and believable is the enthusiasm she expresses in summing up her creative partnership with Donegan: "I love what I do and wouldn't change any of it for the world.
I hope you enjoy our first book about me discovering myself and my sexuality!"

Though not as extreme or explicit as, say, Dahmane's Porn Art volumes of his muse Chloe, the chemistry between photographer and model makes Layley both a hot viewing experience and an enigmatic and fascinating glimpse into a young woman’s personal journey of discovery in front of the lens.
